Portlandia

I was reading a Willamette Week article from November and there's going to be a tv show about a native east coaster's impression of Portland after living there many years. The IFC channel will show the miniseries Portlandia starting January 21st. I will definitely have to watch. The IFC website has the theme song available to listen and it's pretty good as well.

It's Apple Cup Week . . . In December

One of my favorite memories of the 2 years I attended WSU was seeing the Palouse area after a fresh snow. Here a pic I found at the Pullman Chamber of Commerce website:

The smooth hills, many without trees, creates a view of the smoothest snow you could see - and a view that is hard to duplicate.

It is supposed to be cold on Saturday, but no snow. Bummer. It has snowed at a previous Apple Cup. This post from a WSU Athletics blog has a video of the 1992 snow-filled Apple Cup.
